MAC is one of my favorite brands for eyeshadow. Their eyeshadows are very pigmented, well blendable, and high quality. They retail for $14.50 per eyeshadow, but if you purchase them in pan form for their customizeable pallettes, than the price is $11/per e/s. I justify the price for the quality.
My top 5 eyeshadows are "Phloof!", "Sketch", "Satin Taupe", "Contrast", and "Print".
From Left to Right.
"Phloof!" e/s is a Frost finish and is a frosted white with a hint of pink. This e/s can be used on the lid, as well as for a highlight on the brow bone and/or on the inner tearducts of the eyes. It wears beautifully on the eyes and has a slight sheen. I highly recommend this e/s.
"Sketch" e/s is a Velvet finish and is a burgundy, berry shade. Can be worn on the lid or in the crease. This is my most worn shade, because it really brings out my hazel eyes.
"Satin Taupe" e/s is a Frost finish and is a taupy light brown with a hint of silver shimmer. Can be worn on the lid and the crease. Pairs beautifully with "Sketch" e/s in the crease and Satin Taupe on the lid.
"Contrast" e/s is a Velvet finish and is a deep pearl blue with a hint of purple. Looks gorgeous in the crease for a beautiful smokey eye.
"Print" e/s is a Satin finish and is a dark grey with shimmer. Can be worn on the lid or crease. Creates a softer smokey eye effect.
