~Caribbean Cocktail~

It's officially August, and I can't believe how fast Summer flew by. I guess technically the Summer isn't over till Labor Day, so I wanted to squeeze one more Summer nail polish in:)
Sephora by OPI's "Caribbean Cocktail" is a deep ocean blue with silver shimmer. This polish was released last Summer in Sephora by OPI's, Havana Nights Collection. I've been loving this color! I adore blue polishes, but this blue is so shimmery and so eye-catching...I love it!<3

OPI Alpine Snow
I used two coats of OPI's Alpine Snow as a base. I love how the white underneath the blue polish, gives it a nice pop.

Caribbean Cocktail

I really wanted to rock this polish shade as a sort of, bon voyage for Summer. I know that most of you, may not want to purchase this shade since we are at the end of Summer, but here's the link just in case:

I hope you enjoyed this last Summer polish post, I hope all of you had an amazing Summer and have a great month of August.

My Favorite SIGMA Brushes

Sigma's makeup brushes have become my favorite brushes to use. I use these brushes everyday and would like to share with you, my favorites.

SIGMA F80
Sigma's F80 is a Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki brush. This F80 face brush can be used to blend powder or liquid products. The synthetic fibers are ideal to be used with liquid products and is made of synthetic Sigmax HD filament. Price~$16

I use this flat top kabuki everyday for my liquid foundation. It gives me a smooth, flawless, streak-free finish everytime. The brush has short and dense bristles, which allow it to pick up a small amount of product to cover the whole face. I love that this brush doesn't waste my foundation, because I dispise product waste. I highly recommend trying this brush!

SIGMA F35
Sigma's F35 is a Tapered Highlighter face brush. Delicately rolls powder under the eyes and it's precise tip enhances cheek highlighting and contouring. Price~$16
I use the F35 everyday to contour my cheek bones. I love how precise the tip of the brush is to applying product to my cheeks. This brush also works amazingly for placing highlighter ontop of the cheekbones and to the face.

SIGMA Miss Taylor
Sigma's Miss Taylor is a Flat Top Retractable Kabuki brush. The Hollywood Glamour-Miss Taylor Kabuki is the easiest way to apply powder products such as blush, bronzer, foundation, and highlighter on-the-go. I love sticking this brush in my makeup bag and touching up my face throughout the day. Price~$25

SIGMA E35
Sigma's E35 is a Tapered Blending Eye brush. It is a fluffy, long-bristled brush with a tapered tip. Ideally used to apply and blend color to the crease area and to soften any harsh edges.
I use this brush to blend out my crease color and to blend it with my highlight. It works really well for applying powder underneath the eye, to set concealer. Price~$9

SIGMA E60
Sigma's E60 is a large shader eye brush. It's flat shape is ideal for application of cream formulas and eye shadow primers. It also works great with loose eye shadows or pigments. Can be used to apply color all over the lid or precisely on the lash line. Natural Bristles.
My favorite way to use this brush is to apply my highlight on my brow bone. I have also used it for pigments, which it works amazingly well for that too. Price~$9
SIGMA E55
Sigma's E55 is an eye shading eyeshadow brush. It's soft and dense with a rounded finish. Can be used to apply pressed or loose eye shadows and pigments. Ideal to build intense color on the eyelid. Natural bristles.
I love using this brush to pack on color on my eye lid area. I have used it with looser eyeshadows, and it works perfect with those too. Price~$9

Sigma's E30 is a pencil eye brush. It's precise application of color on the crease, outer corner, and upper and lower lash line. Also ideal to smudge out pencil liner. Natural bristles.
I only use this pencil brush to apply eyeshadow to my lower lash line. I love the smokey eye effect, and this brush works amazingly for creating that smokiness to the eye. Price~$9

SIGMA E25
Sigma's E25 is a blending eye brush. Oval-shaped brush with gently chiseled sides. Blends and softens the look of powder or cream shadows. Ideal to apply eye shadow primer, base eye shadow colors, and blending out harsh lines.
This E25 is Sigma's travel sized eye brush, that you can recieve as a free gift with any $30 or more purchase. This eye brush reminds me of MAC's 217 brush, they are almost identical in shape. I love using this brush for applying my crease color for more of a smokey effect and using it to blend out any harsh edges.

My MUJI Makeup Storage

A couple of weeks ago, I decided to check the Muji website to see if they had any of the acrylic storage units available. To my surprise, the 5-drawer units were in stock! Since the maximum that they allow you to put in your cart are only 2 units, i purchased two. I have been anticipating for the arrival of these storage units, and today they arrived!

I was very pleased to see the bright red sticker that said "FRAGILE" and the massive tons of bubble wrap. I knew my items were handled with care and were well protected through the delivery process. Lining the box's inside was thick bubble wrap and surrounding the two individual wrapped units, were bubble wrap layered three times around each unit.

Once all the bubble wrap was removed, a beautiful clear acrylic 5-drawer unit appeared. I inspected the acrylic from every angle, and was very pleased with the quality. I quickly unwrapped the second unit, and brought them into my room to begin filling them.

Since the Muji units are made to be stackable, I decided to stack them on top of each other. On the bottom of each unit, there are rubber stoppers on each corner, to prevent sliding. I began filling each drawer with makeup products and this is what it looked like, once I finished.

Since the drawers aren't very deep, I could only store my smaller makeup products. However, I do enjoy that the drawers are shallow, because I don't like to stack my makeup. I find that when I stack my products on top of each other, many makeup products get overlooked or forgotten.

I love that I can see my makeup products and be able to get good use out of them. These drawers are amazing for storing face powders, blushes, lipsticks, lipglosses, single eyeshadows, concealers, and other smaller products.

To give you some idea of how big each drawer is, the picture above is an example. I stored some of my face/cheek products in this drawer and was able to fit 7 of them. On the Muji.us website they do offer deeper drawered units, and smaller units. The two units I have are called Acrylic Case 5 Drawers and their dimensions are 10.2 x 6.9 x 6.3". They are priced at $23.90 per unit. Unfortunately, all of the clear acrylic units are out of stock at this time, from high-demand.

I do plan to do a giveaway with these units, once they are in stock. So please stay tuned and thanks for stopping in. I hope this post was helpful to you. Do you own any Muji units? Please share and comment below:

Super Soft Lips

There are many ways to achieve soft and smooth lips. I have found that this method works for me the best, and gives me amazing results.
The three products I use, to keep my lips nice and smooth:
AQUAFINA Lip Balm, SWEET LIPS-Lip Scrub, and LIP BUTTER by Korres.

LUSH Lip Scrub
Every night, I exfoliate my lips using Lush's Lip Scrub. I scoop out about a half of a dime-size amount, using my index finger, and apply it to my lips. I use circular strokes, from side to side, on the top and bottom lip area. I exfoliate for about a minute, and then rinse. One of the best features of this product, is that is smells and tastes amazing, like sweet choclatety cookies. And the best part of using this product, is that is leaves the lips feeling silky smooth and soft.
Product contains: "Jojoba and castor
Vegetable oils" are favourable alternatives to petroleum-derived lubricants due to their emollient property and biodegradability. Jojoba oil is light and very softening, and the castor sugar is a fine exfoliant that scrubs without being too abrasive.
This Sweet Choclate Sugar Scrub for lips can be purcahsed from www.Lushusa.com or at a local LUSH store near you. This product retails for $8.95 for a 0.8 oz size. If you haven't already, please go check this product out! You won't be disappointed.

Korres's Lip Butter
Once I've finished exfoliating my lips, I apply this Korres Lip Butter. It's smooth consistency applies nicely to the lips, and it keeps my lips hydrated throughout the night. I love the Jasmine scent, although to me, it's smells more like candy, which I absolutely love! What's great about this lip butter, is that you can also wear it during the day, which leaves a light pink sheen to the lips.
Korres states: "A Buttery lip balm that melts on the lips and offers a shiny, tinted finish. The combination of Shea butter and rice wax offers deep hydration and softness. Ideal for chapped lips."

If your looking for mega-hydration, look no further, Korres Lip Butter is for you! Available at www.KORRES.com , www.Sephora.com , and at a Sephora store near you. This product retails for $12 for a 0.21 oz size. I highly recommend this product.

AQUAFINA lip balm
I have been using Aquafina's lip balms for about a year now, and I love them! I've tried many different lip balms, but nothing comes close in comparison, to this lip balm. I mainly use this product in the morning, and during the day. It keeps my lips moisturized throughout the day, and it lasts for hours. Aquafina's lip balm contains jojoba oil, almond oil, and vitamin E. It can be purchased at Walmart for under $2.

Soft and smooth lips are a must! Lip products apply beautifully to the lips, which creates a perfect pout. I never have to worry about chapped lips, using these three products. My lips always feel hydrated and silky smooth.

It's A 10!

Is this product a 10? Why yes it is! And that's the name! "It's a 10", is an amazing miracle leave-in product!
This awesome product "Does 10 Things Instantly".
1. Repairs dry, damaged hair
2. Adds shine
3. Detangles
4. Controls frizz
5. Seals & Protects hair color
6. Prevents split ends
7. Stops hair breakage
8. Creates silkiness
9. Enhances natural body
10. Flat iron spray & thermal protector

Sounds to good to be true? I thought so too! But, after using this product for a couple of months now, I am a true believer. :) I love that this spray is multi-purpose, so I don't have to use several different products, I can just use one. After I shower, I towel dry my hair, spray the product all over, and then comb through. I usually leave my hair to air dry, but even using my blow dryer, I've noticed this product works the same. I love the way my hair looks and feels after using this product.
My hair feels silky smooth, hydrated, and full of body. I highly recommend trying this product! It's a 10 can be purchased at Ulta, and retails for $18.

A Neutrogena Natural Review

Neutrogena's "Natural Line" is a semi-New line of products that offer all natural ingredients. The line includes a Fresh Cleanser + Makeup Remover, a Purifying Facial Cleanser,  a Purifying Pore Scrub, Lipbalm, and a Face + Body Bar. All products are made with "No harsh chemicals, sulfates, parabens, petrochemicals, dyes, or phthalates."
About a month ago, I picked up the Purifying Pore Scrub, Purifying Facial Cleanser, and Lipbalm from this new line, and have been using them ever since.

Purifying Pore Scrub
I mainly use this scrub in the shower to exfoliate my face and neck. The scrub has a watery based consistency, which I don't really care for, but I do like how the scrub feels to my face and neck area. It's extremely gentle and would be really nice for those of you, who have ulta-senstive skin.

Purifying Facial Cleanser
I use this cleanser in the morning, to wash my face. It has a very gel-like feel, but produces a really nice light lather. After using this cleanser, my skin feels very soft and clean, which I love.

LipBalm

I love to try different types of lipbalms. This Natural Lipbalm, applies very smooth to the lips, and keeps my lips nicely hydrated. It also has a very nice peppermint scent to it, which I really enjoy. However, I do not like that I have to reapply the balm to my lips, every couple of hours.

Overall, I do like this line of products, however, I would only re-purchase the cleanser. I perfer semi-coarse scrubs, like the St. Ives scrub, that has a more thick consistency. I also perfer a more long-lasting lipbalm, such as my Aquafina lipbalm, that lasts many hours. I hope this Review was helpful to you, and answered any questions, you may have had, pertaining to this Naturals line.

Have you tried any of these Neutrogena Natural Products? If you have, what are your thoughts and/or opinions? Please comment below:

TOO TOO HOT!

One of my all time favorite colors to wear on my nails, is the color red. I love burgundy reds, pink reds, and especially, orange reds! Which is why I was drawn to this Orange Red color from Essie's Braziliant Collection.
"Too Too Hot" by Essie, is a sizzling rich red, coral color.

If your looking for an on-trend nail polish, this is the one! This bright coral red, is a perfect color for Summer. I applied two coats of "Too Too Hot" and two coats of Seche Vitte top coat. I've seen this Essie polish sold at Super Target for $7.79 and Ulta for $8.00.

Have you tried any colors from the Braziliant Collection? I would love to know, Please Comment Below:

MAC Semi Precious

MAC's New "Semi Precious" Collection was released on July 7, and a week earlier in Pro Stores. Since I have been super busy for the past week, I decided to wait and visit my local Dillard's MAC store to check this collection out. There has been tons of "Hype" on this new collection, on YouTube and Twitter, and I can see why. All of the mineralize products in this collection include matte and shimmer finishes, and silky-smooth textures. From this entire collection, I picked up two of the Mineralize Skinfinishes.
Since I watched so many videos already on this collection, I knew going into MAC, I only wanted the Mineralize Skinfinishes and the Mineralize Blushes. I swatched all three of the mineralize blushes and decided to pass on them, because of how they looked with my skintone. I swatched all four of the Mineralize Skinfinishes and decided to pass on two of them (Pearl) and (Goldstone). I purchased two MSF's in the colors, "Crystal Pink" and "Rose Quartz".
Crystal Pink's outer color is a pink champagne shade and the inner color includes pink, dirty green, and coppery-bronze shades.
Rose Quartz's outer color is a deep rosy pink shade and the inner color includes silver, bronze, light pink, and lime shades.
Shown above: Crystal Pink's outer color appears, as said before, as a pink champagne color. However, the inner color appears as a peachy pink and all of the colors swirled together show as a peachy-gold color.

Shown above: Rose Quartz's outer color appears, as said before, as a deep rosy-pink color. However, the inner color appears as a light shimmery-champagne color, and all of the colors swirled together, show as a rosy-pink, peach color.

Shown above: On my cheeks, "Crystal Pink" appears as a light, shimmery bronze color with a hint of pink. I love how this MSF looks, with all of the colors swirled together on my cheeks. In the pan, Crystal Pink has a high-frost metallic finish, but on my cheeks it has a slight shimmery sheen.

Shown above: On my cheeks, "Rose Quartz" appears as a Rosy pink color. Even with all of the colors swirled together, this MSF looks almost identical to the outer base color. In the pan, Rose Quartz has a high-frost finish, but on my cheeks it appears as a very light shimmer.

Both of the Mineralize Skinfinishes are velvety-soft and apply smooth to the cheeks and face. They both retail at $28/each and can be purchased at any MAC counter.
